They were trundling out the wrinklies to have the jab from around December 8th.

At his age , and 'vulnerability' to such a coronavirus how come he didn't get his jab back then?

His fam say he hasn't had the jab because he was being treated for a recent bout of Pneumonia.

He's a tough old buzzard to be fair to him.

You asked why he didn't get the job iin December but then confirmed it was because he had pneumonia. Why ask the question?

he 100-year-old, who raised almost £33m for the NHS, was taken to Bedford Hospital after requiring help with his breathing, Hannah Ingram-Moore said on Twitter.

She said he had been treated for pneumonia over the past few weeks and last week tested positive for Covid-19.

BA flew him off to Barbados mid December while the rest of the UK wrinklies were getting a Rona jab.

His family went with him. Most families would have been keen for their elderly relatives to have had the jab before jetting off around the world (especially if this virus is as scary as they claim)

Supposed to be but we're not.
And people  can't see the seriousness of the situation.
They just don't get it.

It's not a serious illness to the majority of the population, that's probably why they 'don't get it' ericster. If everyone had stayed at home for ten months there'd be nowt left for the rest of you to come out to.

Seems that Captain Tom's family 'don't get it either'. elsewise they wouldn't have boarded a jet to Barbados with the guy while the rest of the country's vulnerable were told to stay at home where you can, if you're extremely vulnerable don't even look out the window, and get the Rona jab as soon as you can.

Effin' stupidity really.

Or were they looking to get their inheritance early Cry

Sir Michael Stoute was in Barbados, still there.Either that or my agents owe him £12K for not using the facilities and the pool cleaners are telling porkies? Tom will be ok in all seriousness, all his family were tested before and after,a carer is suspect.

That simple, join Forces reunited if you wish to connect outside media.

It may not be serious to the majority Saddo but it is serious to the majority of the earners. And if it is allowed to mutate a few times I'm pretty sure it will be serious to everyone.

I heard Cpt Tom had a wish list from long ago and on that list was a trip to Barbados. The press got to know and published it. Barbados then offered him a free trip. That is what I heard.

The BBC always pestering him for interviews, showed him being recorded in December waffling about everything going to be alright next year.
Well 2021 is pretty much decided won’t be ‘normal’, and now he’s in hospital so that’s not exactly right is it.

The whole capt.Tom affair was daft. Sure he made a personal sacrifice (again given his service in WW2 and you have to respect that), but all it did was show the collective guilt of the nation for the amount raised, and the requirement of donating to a public service showed the reality of public funding deficit.

Why is it a goodwill story to have to bail out the government for not meeting the requirements while repeating both lies;
1- That human life is priceless
2- That the NHS and it’s workers is their priority.

BBC sent a reporter to stand outside the hospital he’s in.
Incase you forgot what a hospital looks like.

Brigust, the majority of earners are surely under 60, an age group barely touched by covid if they are reasonably healthy. Those who are not reasonably healthy should be able to isolate and the world could largely carry on.

It must have been a difficult decision for Tom, he might never have got his dream holiday. I wonder if it was an open offer, ie could he have gone when it was much safer to do so.

What a miserable lot. I bet he had the best time of his last 30 years going to Barbados with pocket fulls of dough.

Lovely weather and very beautiful women.

If I get to 85 I would shoot anyone who wanted me to stay in a crappy house with a cup of tea watching countdown instead of getting out and enjoying your limited time left.

Saddo you misread my point. I said it was serious to the majority of the earners not the majority of the people. I know the number of deaths when the two are compared is wide apart but that doesn't mean it is not serious to this group. And by earners I mean over 40's. Possibly with grown or working age children. It is serious to them. In my humble opinion, of course.

Have heard of plenty of people under 60 with no underlying health problems dying from Covid. Guy down the road has had three of his bosses in their mid-50s die with it, and a mate told me yesterday a woman from the local Sports and Social club died at 50.

How many of these people you hear about are fat? Obesity is a huge underlying health problem, there are millions under 60.
