** Lidl has announced it will pay all 25,000 frontline shop workers a one-off £200 bonus as a “thank you” for their hard work and ongoing dedication during the coronavirus pandemic.
The award covers everyone from customer assistants and warehouse operatives to cleaners in more than 800 stores and 13 distribution centres across the UK.
Should bally well think so... 200 quid is an insult..........to those of us who "risk" our lives everyday confronting the great British public...meanwhile office wallers get paid fortunes to sit on their backsides @ home.............

Nice touch indeed. Their staff do work harder than most.
I wish Lidl will deal with persistent non-wearing face covering staff on the shop floor. From experience Lidl is the worst supermarket on this in South London even in the present Covid climate.

nothing wrong with either lidl or aldi, most that shop in the "posh" shops are paying for the exact same thing for way over the odds, a kind of rich dumb tax

I've never been to Aldi maybe tomorrow to the one close to my bank. Only the branded stuff at Lidl are worth considering, and the German chocolate eg Ritter Sports and a few selection of their cheeses. The others probably not suitable to be given shelf space.

'stewarts', behave. We're all different. The bread section at Lidl is 2nd to none, and they ain't cheap either - Lidl is learning fast. Nevertheless, I'd still avoid their "organic" veg.
