I would agree but at least there is some jumping albeit plenty of bookmaker fodder. Sort of races if you run the race several times you might get a different result each time. Of course starved of anything but the all weather there will be those who can't wait to lose their money.

The novice race at Warwick has been a decent race over the years but it's usually half a dozen runners who have achieved more than this lot. Everyone seems to have thrown their hat in making it much more difficult than usual.

Could well be geographical but Paul Nicholls not even getting out of bed and sending out just 3 runners.

May well be packing the gunpowder further down the Chelters' barrel though.

cards unlikely to set pulses racing admittedly.

I think I could have two picks at that and miss the winner. Fourth in grade 1 v first in grade 2 v two seconds in grade 2. And a 5lb weight difference. The thirteen runner chase looks easier -Ballyoptic -class to tell.

I agree crap racing at gaff tracks on a Saturday, all the good horses will be getting their cotton wool coats on now. This is what you get with Cheltenham the be all and end all,but when they fail at Cheltenham they are back out at Aintree only 2 weeks later yes don`t need a long rest then..

Paul Nicholls blog. read it. 75% had a flu jab recently.
I am much more interested in trainer form over the past 14 days.
K Bailey 0-13, 14 runs since a winner.
C Tizzard 0-14, 26 runs since a winner
C Longsdon 0-8 18 runs since a winner
D Skelton 1-12 2 runs since winner.

Contrast: P Nicholls 9-30 1 run since winner.
D Pipe 5-20 0 runs since a a winner.
All sequences come to an end and there has not been much jumping in the last 14 days but this is the first info I look at on a Saturday morning.

At least there is some racing on Acey, so why not just be thankful for that?.....you've got to accentuate the positive....eliminate the negative....latch on to the affirmative, and don't mess with Mister Inbetween Happy

Also a nice novice chase at Warwick, although Fiddlerontheroof can't be backed with much confidence
as trainer bang out of form all season!

The mares bumper is interesting. It has even tempted Willie Mullins over! I still prefer Eileendover of the 2 best backed ones but it is a very skewed market with so many unbeaten and unexposed runners. Merry Mistress has also been backed this morning but the rest are ignored in the market.

Highs and lows in the Lingfield 11.45. Backed Voi and Cafe Sydney! Laid both off so only a modest profit but nice start for the day. Luke left it very late but got there easily.
