Not too much to report on Sat, winners were sparse!
Group leaders Diff Drum, Lockup and Bluenose all extended the margin at the top of their groups, notably its now Bluenose who leads the overall points totals, a massive 393 is impressive, will he breach 400 tomorrow?
A much needed winner came in group D for Posy, he landed a 2/1 NAP selection to bag 80 points, that look him from last to first in that tightly contested group, nice!
Another crucial winner in terms of qualification came for Glentoby, a 5/2 each way poke got up for him early in the day. Its now him that looks the most likely to snatch 2nd place in group F. AIS remains 14 points down in 3rd, who knows how Imperial Aura would of got on that went down very early in its race? Unfortunate.
Mmmlushka boosted his chances of qualification with a 28/1 placed effort good work, he remains 2nd in group C but is now further clear of the chasers.
Group G remains very close, 3 players are within 8 points of each other in that group with only 2 places for qualification, who knows Foxy may well come good for a dramatic last day surprise, a sleeping giant!
Its all to play for on the last day. REMEMBER ALL SELECTIONS WILL BE WORTH DOUBLE FOR THE LAST ROUND.
PLEASE MAKE SURE ALL SELECTIONS ARE IN BEFORE THE FIRST RACE, WHICH LOOKS LIKE 12:50 SOUTHWELL CURRENTLY.
CAN I ADVISE YOU MAKE A SELECTION WITH 2 SUBS TO MAKE SURE YOU DONT MISS OUT, REMEMBER YOUR SUBS CAN BE THE SAME AS OTHER PEOPLES SUBS IN YOUR GROUP JUST FOR CLARIFICATION. ANY OTHERS QUESTIONS I WILL TRY TO ANSWER BEFORE THE START OF PLAY.
After tomorrow is settled I will confirm who has qualified on the bottom the the thread along with the draw for the next round after it is completed.

Hi all place selections should of been settled at a 1/5 throughout the week sorry.
Is it a rule in British racing if there is X numbers or a certain type of race it is a 1/4? Always thought it was discretionary sorry.

As in all each way bets for the comp have been settled at a 1/5
But I don’t know the actual rule for the books, I always thought it was 5 run 2 places 8 run3places 16run 4places hcap only and then all books pay to a 1/5 unless they use their discretion to pay better terms! I do very few EW bets with them, normally win and place on here for better value

FOR ANYONE WONDERING HOW THE DRAW FOR THE NEXT ROUND WORKS...I WILL HAVE A LIST OF GROUP WINNERS TO HAND...THEN I WILL RANDOMLY GENERATE A NAME FROM THE LIST OF RUNNERS UP AND THATS HOW THEY SHALL BE PAIRED...IN THE EVENT THAT A RUNNER UP IS PLACED WITH THE WINNER OF THE GROUP THAT THEY WERE ORIGINALLY IN IT SHALL BE DRAWN AGAIN FROM THE POOL OF NAMES, MAKES IT SLIGHTLY MORE INTERESTING THAT YOU DONT PLAY ANYONE YOU WERE ORIGINALLY PAIRED WITH.
Just in the unlikely event of racing being suspended...the comp will have no choice but to suspend and I will try to carry on from exactly where it left off...IE if we get through 3 days this week and then it is susp...when we resume there will be 4 days left in the round, any withdrawls will then be understandable but unavoidable.
