Anyone else had an issue with the auto cashout.

Placed some bets on both Melon and Kemboy today in the Savilles chase and set an auto cashout limit. During the race, the manual cash out function went above the limit i set but the bet did not auto cash out. Spoke to customer services and they said auto cash out is not guaranteed and the fact it went above on the manual function is irrelevant.

I sometimes do that, the way i saw it though was that the auto cash out would open up more permuations of laying the bets off to get the same outcome, i.e if you put a lay bet in at 1.1, it may not get matched, but as i had a couple of horses at big prices then there are a number of ways that profit figure could be reached without either going to 1.1 etc

Cheers chavman, would have been really helpful if you could do this on the app. But at least you came across as a nice guy, and not a complete

don't: Try Gruss or Bet Angel. Both have free trials and allow you to execute trades quickly and efficiently...

Might be off topic but I had a free trial of Geeks Toys and couldn't get to grips with it. I'm not the best with software so it may well be down to me but are gruss or betangel any easier?

I also tried auto cashout and it failed, it's not good for IR horses, it probably can't handle the fast-moving odds.

Mano: Both Gruss and Bet Angel have good forums for newbies.  They will also give you a free trial and then after that a few quid a month.

Bet Angel has a practice mode from memory so you don't need to risk real money while trying different strategies.

I personally use Gruss just for placing bets and getting in/out of markets fast. It's worth the subscription...

Bump

Mano: did I answer your question? Gruss can seem complicated but you soon learn. Essential for one click betting and you'll never use the website again.

I have not used Bet Angel for a long time. They have a vibrant forum and 'Academy' where they discuss trading strategies etc. I only do the odd trade and gruss is fine. Practice mode might appeal if you want to try things out without risking £ (great idea, actually).

You should not be afraid to ask them questions. It's in their interest to keep you subscribing after all...

Yes thanks -for some reason I can't post from my chromebook -I get a message saying I'm not allowed to edit the post. Now on PC. I'm useless at picking up software by just playing with it , much prefer 1-2-1 but failing that manuals with have to do. I think Willie Shafter uses gruss so I'll try that.

Mano: I like Gruss because of one click (be careful with this!) and it's highly customizable as well. Quick pick list for markets also very useful. They take paypal as well so no fuss.

I've had maybe 1 or 2 problems with subscription and he answers very quickly.

Have experienced exactly the same problem. In my opinion the cash out button is just a tax on your profit and should never be used.Sadly i dont heed my advice and push it far too often even though i know it is costing me money in the long run.It is not there to help the punterimo.

Does this feature actually work? It's cost me a few quid more than once.

NOT for Horse Racing - 'in-running' - NO CHANCE

The race positions and  Prices change far TOO FAST for  even the Betfair computer to calculate a TRUE price - that could but last 'the blink of an eye'.

Basic reasoning, rationale and logic would tell you that ... without having to have any technology talents whatsoever.
