Distance over Cheltenham course I suppose. Not much evidence he was suited by it at Ascot.

Think it could be right up his street, g/s ground.

No real evidence it didn't suit if you measure him by Cyrname but Nicky said he was practically falling over after the Ascot race so why would they run him over it again? Even if he wins he could take 3 months to get over it.

Altior not going to run in the Peterborough at Cheltenham.

Is there a 2 mile chase at Sedgefield or Kelso to suit him? Can't have him overfaced can we?

Wonder how many will run ? Totally different race to what would be run at Huntingdon at a tight right handed track
|

I thought it was going to Taunton ?
That would be much more appropriate than Cheltenham yet again. Tbh I think Hendo is right not to run Altior there. Hopefully Kempton over Xmas. |

nicky sent zaynar up to kelso a few years ago for some easy pickings starting at 14/1 on he was sent home with his tail between his legs. |

I remember that.
Half of us in the Premiership napped it much to Norfolk's glee. |
|

Can you believe that was 10 years ago

Can't believe it was 10 years but it was Zaynar that prompted me to make the post. Perhaps Kelso was flying a bit high as well so Sedgefield it is.

Wherever it runs you have to have your reservations as he seems to be using the every chapter in the excuse book.

Zaynar went to Kelso cos trainer was desperate to get a race into him before the Champion Hurdle.
He ran him on unsuitable soft/ heavy ground, thats how badly he wanted him to run. We should see Altior at xmas if conditions suit. |

Everything had some sort of a chance 3 from home, Venetia's was still going well when tipping up 3 out, not sure how good a race it will turn out form wise.

The 2025 renewal is on today Sunday 7th December, all the money is for Saint Sam, it should be a fascinating race.
