Going to contact Advertising standards myself no good sat back and wanting someone else to do it on your behalf. I would urge others to do same. I'll post contact details up on here latter.

I was not entitled either. Another mistruth is Unibet; you're ON! Try collecting on a winning bet; id verification hurdles aplenty.

Just submitted a complaint on line to ASA, post on here what comes of it but don't hold your breath waiting for a reply.  Just think it is wrong that Betfair can put these adds up, if they don't want to give FREE £5 bets out why put the adds out.

@jimnast

"even when they advertise how much better they were at sp or other bookmaker prices there is no mention of commission."

In their defence I think they pretty much always do - this from a "Best Odds on the Exchange" promo on the site today:

"For the purposes of this exercise we have incorporated the commission charge (5% charge on your winnings, other charges may apply to some customers)."

A marketing own goal. The talk is not about the Betfair Chase BUT the non-inclusive free-bet offer to all users/account holders. It was discriminatory!

I don’t get any offers,Bog or specials with Betfair. Get everything from B365 and Paddy and won treble with them against Betfair Sportsbook.

Got a reply from advertising standards today I've got to send the a copy of the add from Saturdays Racing Post will also send them a copy of the add that B/Fair placed in the Daily Mirror. I'd like as many of you as possible who was refused the free bet to contact them. This is not about the £5 it's the principle, they  should not be putting adverts in that are misleading. SO COME ON GET THOSE EMAILS SENT.

good luck.  the ASA have a record of upholding complaints against bookies (suggesting unlike many they are not 'on the payroll'), but they don't amount to much more than a slap on the wrists.  I've  had a complaint upheld by them - doubt the bookie in question lost much sleep about it.

At least they gave you what they said they were giving. Not saying in adverts its for new and old account holders then telling MOST people that they are not eligible.

365 is the best; cash-out the best too. It's best because it's family run, and led by a woman!
