Didn't look a great ride, potentially the best horse finished 2nd.Looks a potential superstar as a 3 year old. 2000gs then Derby, easily within reach then Arc.

I doubt the yanks would have him in their top 20.

Agreed sparrow - he’s not even top 20 in Europe tho to be fair....
By:
I think Moore has certainly deteriorated over these past few years.
By:
How he keeps that job at coolmore is a mystery to me.....
By:
Did absolutely nothing wrong and achieved the horses best possible placing. Would never have beaten the winner. By the way there were a dozen other jockeys beaten in the race, I presume they were just unlucky.

FELT FAIR, are you sure you are talking about his ride on Battleground as your comments are way wrong on that ride. I suggest you watch the race a few times over and please come back and then do a race report accurately. Iam sure you will be amazed how poor a ride it was.

oh mother

By:
Same same same again. Explain that one FELT FAIR. OP? answered Ryan will never learn.
By:
Will any statistician tell me if in any of his many races Ryan Moore has ever led in any Breeders cup race? Not having a go or a moan but just wondered as I cant remember any but there must be some?
By:
Replicated his win at Goodwood by not having the pace to compete early on but picked his way through the field to stay on strongly as he did at Goodwood. The winner has won readily by 3L and if anyone thinks that Battleground should have won is deluding themselves.
By:
To be fair nobody would have won on Mother Earth as she just couldn't live with that early speed.
By:
Agree With feltfair, clearly some on here that haven't got a clue. Ryan Moore Always Getting Sh!t even when he does Not deserve it!
By:
FELT you are talking rubbish. Please listen to Ryan post race victory comments after his win at Goodwood and then come and tell me he didn't make a complete **** up today. Iam quite sure Ryan will be cursing himself to sleep tonight as iam sure he does truly care and wants to win these top races and quite possibly not many more chances in his career.

It's time Aiden came up with another son to replace the present incumbent

Sorry San Quentin you`ll just have to remain in denial.

By:
People on here must be making fortunes laying his rides...?
By:
Ryan had his day in the sun,
Maybe spending too much time with Spencer. Time waits for no man. It's win or ur out normally @ AoB. |
By:
Take away Love, who anyone should have won on, what has he done this year? Plenty of the bigger O'Brien winners have been ridden by other jockeys.
By:
No excuse if he bombs on Magical. The horse is rated head and shoulders above the rest. And, she's proved she's just as effective being ridden up with the pace as demonstrated against Ghaiyyath.
By:
impossible123, the arch Ryan Moore cyber bully has arrived. It`s a horse race with at least x6 Group 1 winners from America and Europe competing and Magical has had an unbelievably busy season so if she loses it will not be because of the jockey.
I remember Dancing Brave failing in the Breeders Cup and better horses than Magical have met the same fate. |

Is not easy to conclude that he couldn't have gone the pace early as Moore seemed to make little effort to try and get his horse closer. As a result after half a furlong he was shuffled back a little and by the bend he was not in a great position(about 3-4 wide) and about 5-6 lengths off the leader. The leader and the 3rd into the bend were drawn 8 and 7 (Moore drawn 9) and were the eventual 3rd and 1st, Battlegound beaten 3 lengths. Hindsight is 20-20, but I suspect if he had rousted his mount more vigorously out of the stalls he might have been 2-3 lengths closer to the leader around the bend, having a clearer route through and then who knows? I did not have a bet in the race but it does make you wonder how a jockey of his experience would not foresee the problems if he at least didn't make an effort to get closer from the start....

Just have to lay Peaceful.

Feltfair must be a reation, he can see no wrong, Moore has been in decline for ages, he has no idea how to change tactics mid race, he does not seem bothered at all, how he is still in a job even Columbo could not solve
By:
What is a reation please?
By:
Can't you see the more you defend him the more you just embarrass yourself?
Do you do it for a joke? |

FELT, FELT, FELT DO YOU,DO YOU, DO YOU?

I am a big fan of all jockeys who risk their lives for our entertainment and that applies to Ryan Moore who for some reason attracts more abuse than any other jockey. Persistent criticism of one individual amounts to bullying after a while and I have always taken a stand against it and even more so these days when mental health is such an important issue.
By the way i am not embarrassed at all. |
By:
Total rubbish FELT, in no way is bullying happening here. You sadly are trying to defend the indefensible. Ryan at one time was head and shoulders above the rest, sadly no longer, time catches up with us all. NO WAY HAS/IS ANY BULLYING TAKEN PLACE. Get a grip.
By:
Felt, we are all big fans of all jockeys but it does not mean we can not pass opinions on without being accused of "BULLYING" Idiot.
By:
FELTFAIR is a timewaster. Best to ignore.
By:
Negativity followed by abuse. Standard behaviour.
By:
impossible123 I` d rather be a timewaster than a serial Ryan Moore cyber bully.
By:
Rubbish again FELT, Ryan for whatever reason has been on a steep decline since R. A. 2017.Totaly mistimed OSG (Ascot Gold Cup) numerous poor rides, ruined Carrivaggio, never been the same since. NO BULLYING ONLY FACTS. Waken up and open your eyes.
By:
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but I am baffled as to you continue to defend him
By:
Sorry don`t agree.
By:
Well, I dont agree with you but if that is your opinion, so be it, this forum should be about opinions
