Been happening a lot recently - I have started Threads on it.

- and it is definitely NOT my Computer - which BRAND NEW

Thought it may be because I was trying the latest/new EDGE Browser.

NO problems on ANY OTHER site on the Web.

Now trying VIVALDI Browser - which was 'like LIGHTNING' - for about 10 minutes ... THEN - BETFAIR stated  FREEZING - [b]as usual

NO problems on ANY OTHER site on the Web ... as I said - 'like LIGHTNING' - on OTHER Sites.

There is a definite compatibility issue at the Betfair end with many Browsers and APIs.

Bet Slip often locking solid when Placing  bets

Bets not showing (as P/L in Red & Green) Beneath the horse name on Market frame for several seconds

The site is NOT stable  Cry

Other  people  must  be getting these GLITHCHES -  along with the now longstanding  - 'Available to bet BALANCE' either NOT REFRESHING or Very S L O W to Update.

I have reported them to Betfair well over 2 weeks ago ... But it looks like NOTHING will be done .... just as the appalling ERROR message of a few months ago 'Where is Everybody'  2 We cannot find that page' - was IGNORED until a Forumite contacted a Betfair DIRECTOR personally ... ONLY Then  was it sorted.

The problem is   - The Betfair IT GEEKS NEVER Test our complaints FULLY - or if they do they Test at a quiet time, like in the morning, when there is NO ACTIVE racing ...

- all these GLITCHES manifest themselves when  we are LIVE BETING DURING ACTIVE RACING - and Betfair are not/do NOT TEST art such a  time.

Highly likely that half of the IT team do not even know the many intricacies of PLACING A BET - and then Lay Back strategies, either  - as they are NOT PUNTERS... NOT Punter minded ... just the same as the useless Customer Services on Live Chat etc.

I am now trying my 4th different Browser - and this really is the fastest and smoothest = VIVALDI

All the above Errors - including the FREEZING STILL occur, though - and usually when you are try to do a further action - But the race is Running, or just finished - as  in the case of  Switching from 'Average Odds' to 'Consolidated' on the Bet Slip - even when a race has finished - Then LOCKS the whole Market up SOLID - so it is entirely unresponsive, and you cannot Open the Graphs then, without REFRESHING the WHOLE Betfair MARKET.

We are heading for a complete LOCKING SOLID of the site outside or races being run also  - SURELY.

That is what normally happens when Betfair IGNORE REPORTED GLITCHES

-----------------

I told you the other day ..

I - and many others - are NOT In-Running bettors - unlike yourself and others who always appear to comment

Also - Many in-running players - USING an APT - have often also COMPLAINED about Markets Freezing - including yourself and the likes of jamesdean.

Onlooker - the vast majority of the issues you report will go away with Gruss.  It is the best £6 a month you will ever spend.

The stickiness we complain about with the API is when it freezes for a handful of seconds (usually less than a couple of seconds in reality, it just feels like longer when you are wanting instant feedback) mid-race and you are left unsure about the status of your bet.

I can't remember every conversation I have on the forum but sorry for trying to help.

The markets freezing issue has occurred in GRUSS & hence the quest for clarification.

I suspect the conversation Onlooker is on about was probably with me on Friday night, Wes.

Thank you - and I appreciate what you advise.

However - There is a POINT of PRINCIPLE here, though ... Not just for me - But ALL users.

I have been on here for going on 18 years - and  those above  issues have NOT been CONTINUALLY on the site for that period of time.

It is, therefore,  not dissimilar to buying a new car - But then being told ...

'If you  want it to work properly - then you will NEED to spend another couple of grand on having a Supercharger fitted - Then it will be pretty much fine'.

If you don't - Then - Sure the car will work - But it will probably do a bit of engine pinking at times -  and run in fits and starts - But it should get you there ... eventually.

If you don't buy the additional Supercharger - Then you will have to put up with the car ... as it is, apparently, the best that they can do.

Just got the error placing bet message, re-entered and now see it is there twice. Site clearly not right but I am not sure that Flutter are bothered.

This started yesterday, like last week.  It blow up at some point so will probably shut down at my end until it does.

This individual would have a point if it was BF trying to do an upsell but it isn't.

Perhaps those using an API are the same ones who find Windows 95 can't quite provide the same user experience these days.

You can be - and are being - exceptionally acerbic, cynical and sarcastic - Wesdag.

Not so sure I would fancy going for  a pint with yoo - given your supercilious and superior attitude

Oh the irony onlooker.

Not supercilious enough to cut n paste your rant from the other forum I set up when you couldn't get on here.

Didn't get thanked for that either.

Should've learned my lesson then.

You do infer that  this, "individual," and everyone who is not using am API, like yourself,  is still floundering around on Windows 95.

That despite my posting that I am using a brand new Computer, just a month old, on Windows10 - and have tried 4 different Browsers.

Hardly floundering.
-----------

I did come across your 'emergency' Forum whilst sorting through my Bookmarks - forgive me for failing to remember that it was you who provided that facility

Well you can either follow Lat's advice or continue to bleat.

I'm done here.
