As a temporary fix.....

Ive got mates going to outdoor concerts all confined to spaces of 5....use Newcastle as an example...can get 100 x 5 people on the grass bits alone.

But nothing yet it seems.

I should have been back in hospital this afternoon,cancelled due to ONE staff member testing positive,test done yesterday morning,complete lockdown of all the facilities and cancellation of all admissions and discharges.

Is that stupid or common sense in front of science? Carry on the way the UK population is going and there will be no end without a vaccine regardless of the gormless Government it is the ignorant,arrogant and gormless of the population who will kill more people than most wars in a shorter space of time.

This pandemic is a mirror image of the Spanish Flue pandemic and seems destined to mirror it through to the finish i.e The worst is yet to come whilst International travel continues from the likes of the UK!!?

I'm one of those going (as an annual member) and, yes, I'm looking forward to being on a racecourse for the first time in 6 months but for the life of me I fail to see what this "trial" can possibly achieve.

Kemo,you sound as clueless as always,we do not have the ability to deal with it nor did the world acknowledge it was happening.It was and is called Spanish Flue because Spain was the only country that reported the pandemic as they remained neutral in the 1st World War.

It did not start there and even today nobody knows where it started and to blame US troops is a farcical fantasy,could be but Asia equally possible.

My OH has studied this pandemic since the start and identified the two main common denominators as 1.Travel between Countries 2.Interaction between infected individuals.

It really is that simple according to her!!?

You'd think the authorities and the professors would have learned from past pandemics.

Yet their performances with this one shows they haven't got a clue.

They're all overpaid, and overrated charlatans.

But some things they do know about, such as early retirement and amassing as much money as they can while they're employed by the government.

As an annual member at Warwick I was one of the 150 who purchased a ticket for the meeting.
However today I received a phone call saying that as my Solihull postcode is in a high risk area I cannot attend.
I asked how many members were affected by this and was told that he “had another one and a half hours of calls to make”.
So it looks like there’ll be less than 400 racegoers attending.

It’s a shame because I was looking forward to stretching my legs on the course as I haven’t been out since Cheltenham.

Who is going to Monitor and then Analyse this Trial?

What is their Criteria?

Seeing as the whole world does not know entirely how this virus reacts and affects -  and are still 'learning on the job' -  then this Trial can only be described as farcical ... and pointless.

I thought they had eventually traced the source of Spanish Flu to a farm ( and poultry ) in the U.S. Glentoby.  It doesn't really matter anyway.  It happened and they couldn't stop it. 
We can stop this one but the main two weapons at our disposal - public goodwill and good human practices/behaviour just aren't being harnessed properly.  In my view, all because this government has been so weak and limp in its responses and communications.  I would lay odds that the poor public response recently can all be traced back to Dominic Cumming and how little he bothered about observing the rules.  "Why the fluck should we listen to old farts who don't even follow the rules themselves"?  And who can blame them?
This government limps from one short term measure to another and shows no effective leadership whatsoever.

Not so much Cummings as Johnson not having the balls to sack him.
