Frank did make a bit of meal of winning, not sure why he just didn't go past when he went upsides .

Pulling it back and then getting the whip out

If Spencer didn`t get up everyone would be saying why didn`t he give it a smack, including Seb.

You can debate the quality of the ride but that is kind of beside the point, the real issue is that we have an ex jock who is happy to get stuck in and give a strong opinion with little care as to whos toes he might be stepping on.

Harvey and the bird teed it up for a Spencer lovefest and Sanders basically said, have some of that...great stuff.

That's a concern for sure, Walsh has been good too, but Sanders is out on his own, what he said today was something I've never heard the like of before by a pundit on the tele, the fact that he's been there and done gives him plenty of credibility.

Neville Callaghan never held back in 1995 when he said Seb would never make it as a jockey (claimed 5) after he eased up Battleship Bruce at Lingfield when he had the race in the bag,a bit similar to Fellon which imamazed could tell you all about. It was a great result for those of us who backed No Pattern at 33s ew and in a rev fcast, the tip came from Ken Higson who owned the winner but expected 2nd. Maybe that was when Seb decided to be forthright or maybe when he decided he did not need to wear boots in a race?Grin

Another ex champion jockey deemed useless by the forum.

Who are you talking about Sparrow? Fellon or Seb and define the Forum deeming one or both useless?
By:
glentoby
When: 14 Aug 20 20:58
Or are you talking about Frank? In his case I would agree 100% with the Forum without checking if he or Seb were ever Champion Jockey, not a title I have ever been interested in like the vast majority imo,who gives a fukc who has the best job?

All it boils down to,nothing to do with latent talent?

Your 1836 comment toby was unnecessary on a thread discussing Sanders performance as a pundit tonight.
Gossip from Callaghan 25 years ago adds nothing worthwhile to this thread.

That comment deserves no more than contempt Sparrow, how shallow are you to make a decision to denigrate the Forum based on that FACT?

It was intended as a positive in terms of SEB and his approach, not derogatory which should have been obvious.........but then you are a clueless ****wit as always.HTHCrazy

And just to help your pea brain,it was not gossip,Neville made the statement right after the race.Add that Ken spent 2.5K on fizzy wine because his horse had won instead of being second DOM something or other and Seb received a nice bonus he did not expect.

Ask him, might be my long term memory is screwed?

Carry on Sparrow but at least have the decency to admit you screwed up here and engage in explaining your moronic comments?

GOSSIP? for example.........25 years ago which was FACT and despite having a cerebral haemorrhage I managed to remember?

You help every time you self acclaimed scholars, many thanks.CoolCool

Basically, anyone who didn't think every ride was brilliant would stand out like a sore thumb.

I only caught a little bit but Sanders well worth another go.

Karm Down Karm Down. Racing is a small world where the pundits and racing professionals travel the same circuit week in week out.The T/V racing media are well aware that if they criticise a trainer or jockey at the racecourse bang goes any future after race interviews. An example. When did you last see ATR's Robert Cooper interview Ryan Moore?. It was years ago!. Luke (that jockey gave the horse a great ride) Harvey,he knowns the game.Sadly all this leads to is bland, I would sooner watch paint dry T/V. Seb Sanders, who doesn't work with the racecourse professionals is not restricted in the same way.More power to his mic.,he's actually worth listening to. Barney Curley ripping the racing world to bits from the ATR studio, now there's a thought.

Jockeys won't talk to them is no excuse. So what? They add virtually nothing that you couldn't work out for yourself anyway. Anyone would think the train are living in the same house as the jocks and trainers. If they were doing their job properly they would be able to distance themselves. Sadly, none of them are.

As for Barney Curley, no thanks. A guy who made his name out of shafting punters to line his own pockets.
