The whole matter whiffs a bit |
By:

By:
if you had to ask that question after being on here for nearly 20 years then maybe you should take up hopscotch
By:
Yes
By:

something that has the potential for a nightmare scenario - you can just imagine having a juicy EW acca full of enormous prices, and the last one scrapes into the frame and you think you've won a small fortune
oh wait...the jock forgot to weigh in...FFS ![]() |
By:
Should get a very hefty ban like 6 months for not weighing in.
Absolutely farcical & open to corruption. |

The Clerk of the Scales objected to GINGER MAX, placed fourth, ridden by David Nolan, on the grounds
of the rider failing to weigh in. GINGER MAX was disqualified and the placings revised as follows: Fourth – ELIXSOFT (IRE). After being interviewed, the rider was suspended for 3 days and was not entitled to a riding fee. 3 days & loss of riding fee not exactly a deterrent. |
By:
would be an immediate licence suspension if up to me
By:
I remember P.Makin doing it to me once when coming 3rd of 7 and not bothering. Also on another day an apprentice at Wolverhampton on a suspicious drifter in the place market.
By:
So, it seems if you manage to place inadvertently, then just don't bother to weigh in.
By:
Oh I'm sure it just slipped their mind and the jockey would have compensated connections with the prize money loss.
By:
Reminds me of a story from over the water,an owner has two in the race bets one heavy but his other horse beat it in to 2nd place. The apprentice jock on the winner was escorted away by the owner to a safe place and forgot to weigh in,job done for a touch.

By:
No excuse and should have got bigger ban but I expect he was upset/annoyed because he give him a crap ride.
