I'm not the most techy person so a lot of these threads are just confusing.
Simply looking to find out if the system/browser I'm running is right and if I can change anything to improve the live racing pics as I'm around 1-2 secs behind.
I use a Macbook Pro and have tried safari, firefox, google chrome browsers - none have improved things as I'm still behind.
Reading in the threads that some people are having no problems - how come?
Any help much appreciated ahead of the Guineas, thanks.

It has absolutely nothing to do with all the factors you quote. All "live" events (even football) are subject to a deliberate delay. Broadcasters do this so that any unforeseen and undesirable pictures can be deleted. There is nothing you can do. Be warned: you are not 2 sec "behind". ITV at one time had a scandalous 30 sec plus delay that was never mentioned by the stupefyingly incompetent bunch running ITV racing. I don't kno how you assess you are only 1-2 seconds behind.

Thanks chaps for reply.
When I say 1-2 secs behind I'm going by when the green "in-play" appears on a betfair market - so at the start of a race it goes "in-play" yet I don't see the runners coming out the stalls for another 1-2 secs - the same at the finish when betfair says "suspended" yet the runners don't cross the winning line for another 1-2 secs.
Before coronavirus the runners started and finished at the same point it went "in-play" at the start and "suspended" at the finish on betfair.
Hope that make more senses?
Any feedback welcome.

why do you want to be on exact betfair live time

is it for betting purposes ie in running

you want to gain an edge

Here's another question: if I'm  betting in-running via the Betfair live stream, is there an optimum browser or setup for these pics? Obviously a quick computer is needed which I have.
Im running off Chrome via Windows 10 which seems decent, wondered if anyone could recommend anything better

been stories around about in running punters asking home owners near racecourses to park their van in their drive and then use a drone for live pics

The challenge is not in the micro-seconds you may shave off with optimum system and settings, it is that you will be some seconds behind real live and therefore start at a huge disadvantage. Always assume there will always be someone trading with less latency so you have to find an edge in ways other than faster pics.

i know someone whos part of a syndicate who bet on live football matches at the ground using laptops they gain an edge 'predicting what might happen depending where the ball is ie free kick corner injury etc' obvs atm doing nowt.also told me if game ends 0-0 they end up losing at least £1000
