for the amount of money he is ploughing into the sport I'm fkin gobsmacked tbh

Not slating John Dance Wondersobright but in my opinion the MAJORITY of racehorse owners haven't got a clue...all money and no idea

That's not to say there's some very shrewd operators in the game but they are few and far between..... most just front up the money and let their trainers get away with incompetence

For example...get a look at the way Jamie Osborne campaigned Arabic Culture after his win over 1m3f at Kempton last year.....staggering that a professional trainer can get it so wrong - if he couldn't see that it needed to go up in trip not down  then i despair - only one attempt at the correct trip at the wrong course for an exaggerated hold up horse in a race run at a crawl where he had no chance - then kept dropping him in trip until the owners let him go in a seller over a mile where he was much the best....if i'd owned that horse i'd have been questioning the trainers ability and why i was paying him...

he comes across as an intelligent businessman gray but I take your general point

any owners not using the figures is immediately handicapping themselves
be that sires, trainers, jockeys etc

size of his string be no issue having some agreement with any of them
tudhope, hart, younger end rodriguez, shaw if you want a punt

Megan Nicholls is tied to Titanium Racing - who Dance helps invest in (syndicate wise) so she’ll be in and around their horses all summer and will probably pick up spares in those colours.
