If Aethero jumps out on terms in the Chairman's Sprint then he will take some catching, quirky and can blow the start is the catch but has a great draw. In the Champions Mile Waikuku had beaten Sundays fav Beauty Generation four times on the trot over this distance but ran no race last time when well behind but maybe the value for revenge at 3/1 ish.

Just hope he don’t blow it by sending her love letters first.

Couldn't agree more Cauthenmeister, they did have excuses for that first run of the season, this taken from the Hong Kong Jockey Club:
AETHERO (C336) began only fairly, then was checked when crowded for room. Passing the 900M shifted in away from a runner and was awkwardly placed close to heels. Then got its head up when being checked away from heels. After that got its head up for some distance when travelling keenly and awkwardly placed. Near the 550M bumped a runner when improving to the outside of another runner. When questioned regarding the disappointing performance, rider stated that as it did at its first up run that season his mount did not begin well which resulted in it being in a position to be crowded for room. He said the manner in which his mount began together with the crowding resulted in it having to race behind runners and when in that position it did not settle and got its head up for a considerable distance after the 900M due to its own racing manners and also being crowded for room. He said that was similar to the manner in which his mount reacted when behind runners at its first up run that season. He said his mount never travelled comfortably and also did not seem to appreciate the loose surface which had been cut up by earlier races. He said he placed his mount under heavy pressure after the 400M, however, it did not respond and gave ground noticeably over the latter stages. He added having regard to the manner in which the horse began and raced and the similarities between the race and its first up race that season, he was of the opinion that his mount may derive benefit from its first up run. Post-race vet inspection did not show any significant findings, however, the horse was unable to be scoped due to being fractious - Race 551.

most of it's unrealistic, better than nothing (ie here). no in-running if that's your thing and be aware the races close bang on post time. no matter where the horses are.

Having spent my life resolutely ignoring all racing east of Strasbourg and west of Killarney, I admit to having enjoyed gambling on the racing in Hong Kong this month. New punters need to beware that in races of a mile or less, missing the break cannot be overcome. Tomorrow's meeting looks a cracker.
0750 Sprint: This is far more open than the betting would suggest. Eight of the eleven runners met three weeks ago over C+D and two lengths covered the first five home. Tips: 3 Mr. Stunning, 4 Full Of Beauty
0900 Mile: Beauty Generation is a warm favourite but is not invincible. Tips: 1 Beauty Generation, 5 Southern Legend
0940 QEII: This is a weak race for the money. Tips: 2 Time Warp, 6 Playa del Puente
Good luck, everyone

I presume that HK Direct at 10.15 on Sky will beva preview of tomorrow's group races.
It's starting to look like there will three shorties, with some other skinny prices on the supporting card. If awake in time I will try to start with the 7.15 but there isn't an obvious pace angle.

A deserved win for Southern Legend who was behind Waikuku (early on), and just out-battled Beauty Generation at the finish; Beauty Generation had the box seat and every chance; Waikuku made good headway but was tenderly handled at the 1f pole when he was never going to win to hold on to 3rd place.
Well done backers of Southern Legend.

True Legend and Southern Legend both won at 25/1 on Sportinglife, but were only 205/10 and 97/10 respectively with Racing Post - a massive discrepancy.

Thank you for the earlier posts, i didn't play in the last race and can only get buttons on with Sportsbook anyway. What a pathetic outfit they are, but they actually did me a favour with their restrictions. Their loss !
I will reply to your email this evening, it's a sunny 20c on my balcony

Hong Kong stuff never been covered on the Exchange since 1066, so why do ATR bother pouring resources into this, may just as well show Virtual racing, who cares ? Even cut the Australian live coverage from 5.30 am this morning to go East, bloody mismanagement of the highest order. Think they must be patronising the Chinese or some other agenda.
