When Nicola Sturgeon does her Covid19 press conference, before the mid-day news, does the lady standing next to her sign language with a Scottish accent?
Also I think I saw her swear twice by putting her left hand on her right bicep and raising her fist.

I think her strange use of sign language is code for - I wish this egotistical windbag would just answer a question without giving a 5 minute speech at every opportunity she has - and - my arms are like jelly by the time the press conference ends !

I don't wish to be indelicate but I find all Scots need sign language to be understood. And they clearly have a little difficulty with their writing too; clamouring to leave the UK then, ahem, 'inadvertently' ticking the wrong box at the polling stations.
Being a Scotsman JM I could agree to that until you hear Shafter speak.
