I am trying to find the name of a film where, at the end, the star rides into the sunset with the line ' ride home at an easy pace'.

what era are talking here: Randolph Scott? Clint? Audie Murphy? John Wayne?

or even chav's favourite...Brokeback Mountain?

High Plains Drifter and Pale Rider? seem to remember Clint riding off into the sunset?

High Noon?
Magnificent 7?

What a stupid thing to say steel curtain.

'ride home at an easy pace'.

Thanks George. Love the non-jigger bit.

None of the films mentioned. My wife remembers the ending, like me, but cannot remember the film. She is not a cowboys fan either. I love Pale Rider and The Quick and the Dead.

I seem to remember he rode out of town with nothing but the plains in front of him.

I don't think it was Alan Ladd or John Wayne. I have down High Plains Drifter and Once Upon a Time in the West but I am not hopeful. I guess I will have to watch them again unless someone can tell me how they end.

There are two The Quick and the Dead and they are both good.
