I did a reverse forecast on the amended limerick race and they tell me to go to IBAS as a reverse forecast is one bet. When I explained that it was 2 bets , a to bt b and b Tony a, was told I was wrong.

Shop or on line

Surely a £2 reversed forecast is a total stake of £4, so two bets.
Report RothmanMike March 15, 2020 9:31 PM GMT
In the old days,a dual forecast was 1 bet.
This was two horses finishing 1st and 2nd in either order.

I have seen shop punters trying to claim they were entitled to both forecasts in similar circumstances. If this is the case, I would expect IBAS to agree with the bookmaker.

Reverse Forecast 2 bets....Dual Forecast 1 bet.
But as saxon farm requests "please post the bet as written"

OP is correct if worded as a reverse forecast,A to beat B or B to beat A,don't see how there could be any confusion or doubt about this as it's been like that since the dawn of time.

My experience is that Companies do not pay out amended result on F/C bets.
Report the dealer March 16, 2020 9:17 AM GMT
The confusion is the OP's post, it cant be as simple as that and probably more to it.
Is he maybe questioning being paid on both forecasts because of the amended results. Without seeing the bet as a few have said, it's kinda hard to give a judgement. I would be pretty sure it ain't that a reverse forecast is one or two bets.

Sorry TG our posts over lapped

i thought that was what he meant too and if that's the case then I think they are following their own rules
Report Manoleeds March 16, 2020 9:28 AM GMT
TheGoddess. So if the finishing order is A, B, C  and then a stewards is announced and A gets placed third, is the forecast result AB or BC for betting purposes?
Report six_six_six March 16, 2020 9:28 AM GMT
I suspect OP wants paying both ways (as per double result).  No chance.
Report punchestown March 16, 2020 9:37 AM GMT
A reverse forecast is 2 bets, one lost the other won because of the Stewards,I'd be happy with that. Both huge prices.

you think this is complicated wait till Thursday emergency meeting regarding premiership.

would not like to be the one who sorts that out.

sad to say in a very good position with my football bets.
so I would ask for odds whats going to happen to them.

have a good day
regards
Ronnie.

All bets placed on UK and Irish horse racing will be settled on First Past the Post AND the official result.

First Past the Post: The immediate result after the race has been completed (see Exceptions below)
Official Result: Announced at the "weigh-in" on the day, after any Steward's Enquiries and/or objections have been considered. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.
Exceptions
The exceptions where First Past the Post does not apply and bets are only settled according to the official result are:

A selection taking the wrong course
A selection carrying the wrong weight or the jockey failing to weigh-in
Any Ante Post bet
A Forecast or Tricast bet
A void race
Any Tote/Pari-Mutuel bet
A selection given as the winner in error by the judge
A bet placed on a two-runner race or a special match bet
A bet placed in a “without the favourite” or any other special market
Aintree Grand National
Any bet placed at the rails on a racecourse
We pay FPP on UK & Irish racing ONLY - Horse racing bets placed on non-UK/Irish meetings are settled on the official result declared by the racecourse judge and confirmed by the ‘Weighed-In’ announcement. If a winner is disqualified after the official result is announced, the disqualification will not affect the settlement of bets.
