- Not a vintage Cheltenham, some good finishes but not many equine Superstars - The French Easysland was very impressive in the Cross Country. Maybe a lot of improvement - Coronavirus didn't really play a part
i thought it was up there with the best in terms of finishes and qulaity of racing...the monkfish/al boum photo/samcro/min races were outstanding.....and i didnt back any of them....

Thought the handicap hurdles were a bit unsatisfactory. Looks like the British and Irish handicappers are miles apart. Well done to all those that picked them but think if I was a British trainer I'd be scratching my head a bit?

yep agree but everyone ,every event can say that, you,ve got to take a stand ,work together, wouldnt be surprised tonight or tomorrow if jockey comes out saying he has viruys and racing stops, a patsy to stop making it look as though racing went on because of pure greed, which is what it will look like if they just pull the plug now

Just demonstrates that whether you're trying to get lucky on a Friday night, or securing a ride on a Gold Cup winner two years in a row; it's worth wearing your lucky pants.

Cheltenham was right to go ahead and some of the other sports that have ignored government advice and announced cancellations today until the start of April are wrong.
That said, perhaps because of the overwhelming news from outside but also for racing reasons, the Festival lacked sparkle. Punting-wise, the right horses won; apart from the last couple of races, there were no real head-scratchers, but nor were there any jaw-dropping moments (with the possible exception of the mares' novice hurdle). The Champion Hurdle lacked quality; the Champion Chase fell apart. I cannot even get excited about a dual Gold Cup winner.
And four days have left me exhausted. Heaven forfend they add a fifth.

Sadly it is now all about money, nothing to do with the best horses racing against each other, and it will not change, 5 days is inevitable, for us old uns, just memories of the golden days.
