I have finished for the day so didnt see the race, but it happened to me yesterday
Im convined its when too many people look to back the same selection and it jams the bf bot
All odds you see are on condition the bf bot calculates them first, if something occurs like a horse with a radip move and enough see it together I think its when they all try and back it at the same time

PRice Streaming Order Streaming...

from the gruss website forum -

PS is Price Streaming
OS is Order Streaming

Prior to streaming, the software (Gruss) would send a request for data and then receive a response containing the requested data. There are two "types" of data - market related and account related. So in the Gruss screen, you'd see the refresh rate at the top of the screen with a number in brackets to the right, this was the delay. Delay is the time it takes to get a response after sending a request. The refresh rate relates to market, or price, data. At the bottom of the screen you have the bet manager. At the top of this is information about when the bets data was last updated. Bets = orders.

Streaming removes the need to continually request data. The software connects to Betfair and initiates a stream. Now the data is updated when it changes, be it 0.1 seconds or 15 seconds, just and only when it changes.

You can change whether the price/market data or bets/order data, or both, are streamed or requested.

Streaming offers faster/more refreshes, no request delay, less overall bandwidth and I'd guess it's where Betfair is focusing it's development.

With PS and OS ticked, you then have the option of Full Stream. The price and order data is streamed to your computer but how you screen refreshes can be controlled to a set refresh rate or whenever new data is received. So if you don't tick Full Stream and have a refresh rate of 1 second, your screen will only update once every second. But your computer may have received 10 lots of data in that time, saved that data locally and updated the screen just once.
