1.30 would always be close to end of 3m ch off at 1.23 Donc...extra minute sensible surely (without getting too close to next @ 1.40)

What has got you so upset onlooker?  Is there something special about having race start times at 0,5,10,15,20,25,30,35,40,45,50,55 other than "that is how we have always done it"?

If (and it is a big if) they could get races off on time then (as duncan idaho says) it would make sense for race times to be adjusted according to whether the race they follow at another course is a 5f Flat or a 3m 4f Chase?
