Is run at Leicester? Was he a prolific winner there back in the day?

He scored his first win there, in the Gopsall Maiden Hurdle over 2 miles, Jan 20, 1931. He was 4yo, and won by an easy 5 lengths at 5/4 fav from 19 others (including 5 and 6yos).

He was described.. 'on this form, he would seem to be a very useful young hurdler, although probably nothing like so good as his owner's other 4yo hurdler Insurance'.

sparrow - yes.

He also won a 3 mile chase there in Jan 1935. He went off at 7/100 and beat 5 others in a canter. He'd done the Gold Cup/Grand National double the year before.

Thanks ged, always remember my dad commenting on Dorothy Paget in the days when he was a bookmakers clerk.
