Partly Cloudy. RACING GOES AHEAD Temps dropped briefly to +0.3c at 3am but currently +2c & no issues with frost! Overcast sunny spells forecast for today. Temps around +5c during the day with a chilly WSW wind.

@Downroyal · 44m Downroyal is currently fit to race. 1mm of rain since yesterday and there was some light snow overnight. Dry & breezy day ahead with a risk of some showers which could turn to snow and bring 2/3mm Temps are due to reach 5/6° by lunchtime. Going - soft, yielding to soft in places. |

Wednesday's meeting at Hereford is subject to an inspection at 4pm on Tuesday with the track currently unraceable.
There has been 16mm of rain at the course in the last 24 hours, leaving standing water in places. Forecasts suggest there is a possibility of further showers on Tuesday and raceday afternoon. Clerk of the course Libby O'Flaherty said on Tuesday morning: "We will need a dry day today to have a chance so we will have to see whether the forecast showers arrive or not. "We're currently unraceable but may see if we can go around certain wet areas if we do see some improvement. There's also potential for frost overnight." |
