Dambuster - there is a photo in one of my old racing books (Cope's?) captioned "Doug Smith talks to an apprentice" - Doug Smith was not a tall jockey but the apprentice is about belt high and looks about 10. I will try to dig it out. Can't get near 3 stone, but there were loads of apprentices even as late as the early 1960's who could do 5 stone.

It ought to be reasonably easy to compile a rough list of relative heights from pictures of jockeys entering the parade ring.
I'm not really sure what you'd do with the information but it might be interesting. More useful would be arm and leg length, though you'd think that would favour Black jockeys like, erm, yeah, so maybe not. |

Not that it will be much use to the "system builder" now but the O'Brien brothers are both around 5' 11" and George B is reputedly 6ft.
