Started Jan 1 as part of new online media rights deal between The Racing Partnership (predominately ATR tracks) and those bookies who have signed up to the deal (think majority have now though not sure Joe and Sadblokes have yet). Now instead of a paying a fee per race watched, bookies will pay % of turnover or profit. The idea is that free to view may increase turnover. Expect RMG tracks to do something similar when they negotiate new online rights in the spring. Gleaned most of this from reports on RP.
