(Status: Passed) (Status: Pending) Inspection to be held on Friday 10-01-2020 at 12:00 A further inspection will take place at 12:00. The track is currently raceable however the flood water is continuing to rise and could impact this afternoons racing. We are continuing to monitor very closely. Inspection to be held on Friday 10-01-2020 at 11:00 Today's meeting will be subject to an inspection at 11am. Following overnight rain the surrounding water ways have continued to rise this morning. The track is currently raceable however it may breach onto the racing surface. The situation will be closely monitored, please look out for further updates.

Another communication failure by NH course.
Abandoned 30 minutes before first race without any foresight that overnight rain may jeopardize the meeting. Monkeys would be better at organising these events imvho.

No doubt not on purpose .....still looks amateurish and shambolic .
The water comes from all over into that river must have just caught them by surprise even the betting ring is flooded which it wasn’t an hour ago.
And no doubt has come from all over into that river for eons .....they should have some expectation based on previous occasions.
It seems to have affected different areas than where the usual problems are.
It sounds like the reason for the meeting being lost , wasn't the weather , but a lack of flood management . I've never been to the course , but I imagine a higher flood bank/wall would have prevented the abandonment today .
What if they had called it off early and the flood waters never rose and the course was okay? Pretty sure they would have got torrents of abuse.
My horse was running in the last race, had I known there was a risk of the meeting being abandoned, both my horse and I could have postponed our travel to much later.
Consequently loads of money lost for nothing because the CoC could not give prior warning of flood risk!

The food and drinks outlets would have been doing business before the 1200 call. What happens to all that grub? They would have insurance in place but surely with them all doing some business it would be no where near full compensation.
