I hope you -  or rather a combination of gruss?APIs and Betfair - do find a solution - as the whole structure of Betting Markets can only be based on confidence... especially for habitual in-running players like you boys.

if we can all do that every time it happens maybe it will be addressed with some urgency, gruss are giving them details but it lies with betfair to fix it

I hope the Gruss boys don't mind me posting this here but this is what I was advised some weeks ago:

I have been informed by Betfair that you are experiencing issues with pausing price refreshes.

Can you send a diagnostic log from a day it happened and let me know the time it happened so I can check the relevant part of the log. Select "Open settings folder" from the options menu to find the log files.

We are trying to gather additional diagnostic evidence of the problem to give to Betfair but that in itself is proving difficult to do.

the more users that report the problem to the Betfair API team the more likely they will put more effort into resolving it.

Boxing day and yesterday it was even worse
On 1 occasion on each day the markets continued to move and my bet open and unmatched but it simply wouldnt cancel
and I watched helpless as it was matched

i have had about 5 big freezes of 7 or more seconds today , anyone else ?

I haven't noticed but I've only been playing Sandown and Wincanton so far. They have told me it has been investigated thoroughly and they can't find the issue but to make a note of the exact times it happens. What any of that is worth I have no idea.

Just had a big freeze on Wincanton. Plus unmatched money disappeared from the bets list twice.

Went wrong again that race Sandown, no idea whether managed to bail out or not, bets just disappear! Gruss/Chrome/AVG

No didn't bail, why am I not surprised! Sort this out betfair or you will have no one left. Ir is totally impossible like this.

I have just wasted an hour on live support about this and am absolutely furious and no further forward at all. Betfair will not let you speak to anyone on the phone anymore and the guy on live support couldnt understand what I was on about at all. Obviously just had a set sheet of answers in front of him and zero understanding of their product. Told him to read this thread as he said had heard nothing of any problems!! Wouldn't escalate to tech support unless I provided screenshots which is impossible for me to do as they wouldn't show anything, that is my f.....g problem! So fed up and annoyed and I am only on here at weekends, how do people who make a living on here manage?

There is a way of gathering evidence
In windows 10 you can setup a part of it for playing/broadcasting games and all that s hit. Im not sure exactly how, you can google it, but you can set it to record your desktop in the background and it auto deletes it unless you press a hotkey and then it saves the last 30s.
You could save it everytime it happens and then send to betfair

The thought of finding out how to do that just makes me want to curl up and die, sick of it all. May just go to the other site. Have used the link that someone else put up so will see what their response is, won't be any worse than customer services advisor, thats for sure.

Latest from Betfair:

When (if) this issue next occurs, please can you confirm the following information:

· The time of the issue
· The race affected
· Were you using non Stream or Stream API software mode at the time?
· The software used.

We can then collate the above information and focus our investigation on very specific times when a number of customers were affected by the same freezing issue.

Might help if we include the refresh response too for that race it happens.

john , last week i emailed them about 5-6 races and exact times of when it happened , the BDP guy said it was helpful and he'll look into it .

i think they need to make a thread for us to post on to see what the common denominator is between those experiencing problems

Probably the same guy I'm in contact with. If you happen to be actually watching the race for a few seconds then it's easy to miss a freeze too. Nobody is going to notice them all.

I am having freezing problems on Gruss. My refresh is set at 0.2 and seems to be updating as the AR seems stable at about 200. The prices do not update as well however and I am costantly missing prices and the prices have been freezing all day.

Gruss is acting the same way for me as dutchmans post.The past few weeks its been the odd race for a couple of seconds but the last few races today have been a lot worse.Its appears a different problem to anything I have experienced in previous years.

ok don't use website much, what I thought today was that the market looked really thin

The GUI just isnt keeping up, bets still get matched that are in the system.
Ive even seen it where I cant cancel bets and the markets are still going and my bet just comes into the odds and gets matched and theres nothing I can do

I just think bf are trying to be too clever finding profit and it comes at a cost to users

WTF are Betfair doing about it. This is a massive problem.

We have collated all of the information provided over the weekend and passed this to our development team to assist with the ongoing investigation.  The investigation is being treated as high priority and we have some positive lines of enquiry that we'll be looking into further this week.

no problems for a few weeks, but lingfield was a bit stuttery

Felt like it was freezing for the odd second here and there today.

I have had a lot of price freezes on gruss today after a few weeks of it seeming to run smoothly.Refresh rate seems fine but the odds were definitely not changing like they should.
