I picture him about 120 yards diagonally away from the finish line, it helps me process it.

Worst i ever heard was Frankel in the Judmonte, some craap about poetry and majesty . Cringeworthy of the highest order.

It was a bit like some numpty thinking of a great chat up line for days and when he says it to the girl it goes down like a lead balloon.

Thommo's style of commentary is amazing, every other commentator in the world has the primary objective of identifying the winner for the audience. Thommo's main aim is the opposite, to pretend that we don't know the winner if at all possible.
