Via a contact he knows very well as a good judge as well as a shrewd punter. She is having her first run in a handicap and without accusing the connections of anything underhand his contact says this race was on the radar before her last run which qualified her for a mark,a mark he reckons could underestimate her by a few lbs.She finished 4th on the AW at Kempton over 7f lto against a few who will probably get marks around the low 70s in the near future with the probabilty of being higher later.
He says her opening mark of 65 is fair in the context of this race but her homework puts her around 72 in his estimation at the distance she goes over today, several similar types in the race so no idea of anything that has been plotted for it.That is one note of caution, the only other concern is her draw.As far as that goes his contact says if she shows the early speed she is capable of that could be negated. In addition he says she would have no difficulty with an easy 7f on ground like todays, that he says is a combination which is needed at Pontefract being a stiff 6F.
It is a big field and she is around 8/1 general as I type with some firms going 1/5 four places,I am going to play cautious and go ew with the 4 places.
The filly is Fashion Free in the first at Pontefract.Good luck if you have a dabble.
