That was a good ride by Moore; no pace, and he dictated the pace - the horse who stays much further than 8f; no pace, softer ground, Too Darn Hot not progressed from 2 yr old, and Pheonix Of Spain did not perform it was Corcus Maximus and Moore to take.
Report FELTFAIR June 18, 2019 4:32 PM BST
He`s at work.
Report Deptford June 18, 2019 4:34 PM BST

Report duffy June 18, 2019 4:38 PM BST
Fox champion dictated it, CM would have been seen to even better effect if it was a stronger pace still, too darn hot would have been beat a lot further CM is the stayer, he wants a test at a mile...mark him up.!!
Report impossible123 June 18, 2019 4:44 PM BST
Dettori said he headed Moore, but the stiff Ascot mile undid Too Darn Hot. Does that mean TDH barely stay 8f? If so, running in the Dante...what was all that about?
Report duffy June 18, 2019 4:48 PM BST
I think what its all about is that back in May they didn't know!!.
Report impossible123 June 18, 2019 4:59 PM BST
I guess so, and the so called experts eg Gosden and Dettori got it spectacularly wrong then running TDH in the Dante!

This meeting could turn out to be benevolent for AOB with Magical, Fleeting, Japan and Hermosa to come.

Report FELTFAIR June 19, 2019 4:07 PM BST
Because Crystal Ocean drifted left in front of him.
Report GEORGE.B June 19, 2019 4:14 PM BST
surprised more hasn't been made of that, winner was drifting all over the shop under pressure
Report GEORGE.B June 19, 2019 4:17 PM BST
Approximately ½ furlong out, the winner, CRYSTAL OCEAN, edged right-handed taking MAGICAL (IRE), placed second, marginally off its intended line. After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of CRYSTAL OCEAN.

just marginally and just the once?

He's won the top spot 8 times in the last 9 years.

Rides so many favourites he should win the title at Royal Ascot.

Report impossible123 June 19, 2019 5:40 PM BST
Just watched the PoW: Dettori out-rode Moore again using AOB's pacesetter as a lead horse; Crystal Ocean stays further than 10f yet Moore gave Dettori a head start.

The rides in the 3:05 were interesting I just wonder whether jockeys are judge and jury it appears as though they sometimes cannot be arsed I always thought you had to try to obtain the best position sure they do some in that race didn't look like they did Stewards .. I know what your thinking what Stewards .. oh and BHA for the greater good.

Both Western Australia and Norway were held up by their jockeys. The former finished 12th and the latter 9th and many other runners spread around them but it is only one jockey who is singled out as a villain.

Seems biased or at the least odd to me.

Coolmore must be fuming, he has lost several high class races, all the same way, this year - leaving the horse out the back and coming like a train but running on too late.
Report Diff-rent June 20, 2019 4:15 PM BST
No coinsidance recently the trainers classic winners have been ridden by not him.
Report punts June 20, 2019 4:15 PM BST
Lets face it... Coolmore are not in the greatest form this week.  He would much prefer riding the Stoute and Gosden horses that  Frankie is riding.

Report impossible123 June 20, 2019 4:56 PM BST
If he loses on Japan tomorrow riding a similar as he did on Fleeting he'll be crucified, and maybe admonished by AOB; the memories of Pink Dogwood in the Oaks and Kew Gardens in the Coronation Cup are still fresh to backers.
Report impossible123 June 20, 2019 5:37 PM BST
Will he repeat a finale win as yesterday?
Report granitjack June 20, 2019 5:42 PM BST
Loves hitting the front miles out....and setting it up for the rest Excited
Report impossible123 June 20, 2019 6:24 PM BST
The ride on Fleeting was unbelievably bad for a senior jockey; sitting right at the back with the main protagonists in the middle or at the front except Queen Power who was already out-of-contention early (pulling hard). Magical in the PoW, Moore?

I firmly believe had he ridden Stradivarius he'd have lost a few of the races Dettori won on the horse; he did lose a few on Order Of St George, and one of them was the Gold Cup at Ascot.
Report Diff-rent June 20, 2019 6:29 PM BST
Where has the original opening poster gone?
Report Diff-rent June 20, 2019 6:30 PM BST
Surely he cannot defend that ride today ( fleeting ).
Report differentdrum June 20, 2019 8:16 PM BST
Too short for me but Hermosa will be many people's idea of a good thing. It is a point and fire ride who finds for pressure so hard to see how he can mess up?

Report MJK June 20, 2019 8:47 PM BST
Funny but as much as I have criticised Moore on a couple Dettori has done exactly the samecin the last today and there hasn't been a criticism, because of his winners I assume.
Report differentdrum June 20, 2019 9:02 PM BST
I was being serious when I said it was hard to see him messing up on Hermosa.

The other two I wouldn't touch. He is 0-2 on them so far. Japan has been a hold up ride and he represents a Derby where they finished in a heap. He is also up against at least two potential improvers. Ten Sovereigns looked a very well grown 2yo and initially created a big impression but the last two performances? Nothing to suggest that it was anything but an ordinary Guineas. I doubt either horse has as much in hand as the betting suggests.

Those who have gone in at short prices will be praying he delivers. Another for Dettori and it might be game over.

Another strange ride from Moore. He held a good position soon after the off; then dropped back, ended up in a pocket with 2f to run. How'll he explain that to connections?

Steering job next????????? P45 beckons if another Fleeting and/or Ten Sovereigns ride, I'd think.

Think you are right Deptford to be fair. Time will tell but for me no excuses not as good at 3.
Report Lairy Mary June 21, 2019 4:11 PM BST
TS was a strange ride for me. They virtually made the running with him in the Guineas over a trip they weren’t sure he’d stay. He ran well especially considering the ground looked loose the far side. After the race connections weren’t sure he stayed. So back over 6, they held him up? Why? FWIW, I think he’s a miler who was inconvenienced by loose ground and having to make the running at Newmarket.
Report youwillblucky June 21, 2019 11:18 PM BST
Just a crook , lol , he can and does ride when he wants to ....... or when he is told to   .....
