13:50 Redcar - Iva Go

Backed from 33/1 to 11/2 on debut and travelled best before getting worn down late on by the Archie Watson favourite Exclusively pulling 3.25 lengths clear of the third. Exclusively then went to Salisbury and gave Good Vibes 4lbs and was only beaten a neck by the subsequent Marygate winner. Iva Go then went to Beverley and won at 1/4 again travelling the best but just curled up close home on the stiff track  to only go in by a neck which flatters those in behind, Mecca’s Hot Steps was fourth that day but did have a bad draw. She then ran in the Marygate and showed up for a long way showing great pace to dispute lead before giving best in the final furlong and eventually finishing 7th of 18 with Lady Quickstep back in 15th. She’s got bags of pace and will have things all her way up top most likely able to dictate and she’s beat her two nearest rivals in the market all ready so surprised this wasn’t odds on. Gl All

Hate will win threads. This did travel well last time but was ultimately  well beaten in the end.If it returns to its previous form should go close.

Meccas Hot Steps 4lbs better off than Bev. But more importantly it was Meccas 1st run (Dodds horses can improve significantly for a run). Has run a decent 2nd since at Donny.
Iva may win but looks about its price to me.

Can see where you are coming from in this race, but i was impressed by Lady Quickstep at Brighton where she bolted home by 4 lengths, from a Watson horse who went close nto at Ripon, the 3rd Bushtucker Trial came and won comfortably at Leicester with previous winner manolith about 10 lengths behind. As you say ran in Good Vibes race drawn against the near side rail and she couldn't get into it about 5 1/2 lengths behind Iva go. Don't think Kelleway would take him on again if she thought no chance and puts up a 7lb claimer to get closer. I actually think that Meccas Hot Steps will probably beat yours as was 1st time up against Iva Go at Bev when yours was having its 2nd run and had a worse draw, also Azteca btn just a neck by you at Bev, made up 10 lengths against Iva Go from there run behind Exclusively, also MHS ran a good race against what looks a very good 2 yo at Doncaster in Romero entered in G2 Railway stakes, also gets 4lb from you today, level at Bev. Remember Francesca saying that Baileys Prayer looked a bit backward before its debut run and doesn't appear any money for it as yet, just leaves Quinns Liberty Beach but no money for that either.
All about opinions this game but think Meccas Hot Steps will beat yours today and think Lady Quickstep also has a chance of turning the York form over with Iva Go.

Don't worry howarth, you put up your opinion starting a thread, well done, pity a few more don't post opinions and reasons before a race.

Howarth...backing horses at short prices which run below form last time out is a sure way to the poor house

She hardly ran below form finishing 7th of 18 in the Marygate last time but I take your point and back to the drawing board. Can’t pick my nose at the moment!

Howarth....I backed it at York.I follow speed figures and on those it run way below its previous figure.Think the first 4 were well in front of the rest of the field.I thought at half way it was travelling best but it found zero.Maybe the York race came too soon but its the horse I feel if you follow it especially when the nurseries come around you will get your money back.

Get some money back by backing I'm Digby, 2.30 Windsor, looks over priced on here at the moment, has the potential to be good, at least ten group/listed winners in pedigree, easy time debut will improve,GL.

With 8 unraced 2-y-is competing,you are having a laugh.

Fair enough, what do speed figures show out of interest, is it there top speed, finishing speed, quickest furlong etc? And yeah I think she’ll have to go round a bend after having everything her own way out in front today and not lasting home

Don’t see the big fear of backing against unraced 2 year olds seeing as they will more than likely take a huge step forward from their first to second run and first time up is the time to take them on. Richard R H B, Daddies Diva and Seraphanite just a few off the top of my head that have shown less than nothing on debut and improving plenty for that experience on their next start

There are easier races to look at with full form, why guess in these juvenile races with so many imponderables.
