going today, anyone fancy anything?
cloudy this morning, no rain as yet, going good to firm.
backed kylie rules last week and going in again, don't think the penalty will stop her, was drifting overnight then hugh put it up to spoil the price.
first and last races look good for the 2 shorties.
like the look of knightcap in the 2-15 from the plum draw, ran a decent race at thirsk.

Agars Plough was notebooked by a few on here following its eyecatching debut for this yard.
Remember they water the far side in sprints to make the draw more fair the only course that admits it as far as i know, it was so easy years ago not so now
Wouldn't totally rule out Secretinthepark if he breaks out on terms.
Meccas Hot Steps runs for same connections as old top sprinter Mecca's Angel and is related to a few winning sprinters, have a look in the paddock, see how she looks. The sire was a top 2 yo winning 3/6 races including coincidentally beating Meccas Angel at York, went on to win the Temple stakes at 3yo. 1st 2 yos this year though and is yet to have a horse placed from just 7 runners. The dam has produced 4 winning horses best of which incidentally ran 1st and 2nd in the same race from identical mark of 71 just a nk between them. Probably one to watch but interesting nonetheless.

added musharrif to my list. a beverley specialist on fast ground and an eye catcher at thirsk on his comeback run, just hope he can overcome the draw.

Azteca also looks interesting at a massive price in the 1st, well down the field behind todays fav at Redcar but could step up considerably now she's had a run. Another horse well behind in that race came out to beat the 3rd in that race nto, turning over 6 lengths. Related to 2 2yo winners who both won on 3rd outing and sire won on 2nd run as a 2 yo, again 1st season sire who hasn't had a winner yet but at 33/1 may have an EW chance from the best draw.

You like Insania then Dilwyn, clever name out of Mysterious Girl that record by Peter Andre, you would think there would be some money for that one if it was trying today, but as you say has a chance on breeding, well spotted.

33/1 only today please
At the risk of an anti-climax after stewarts' 33-1 stunner...I wasn't quite expecting to see Glacier Fox at 14-1 for the 4.25, the mark has come down, he should strip fitter for his reappearance when conceding a lump of weight to 3yos over 12.5f (though has been off another 7 weeks), and this drop back in trip to 10f should suit better from a handy draw.
He's easy enough to back, and perhaps surprisingly, I've just noticed he's been declared to run again on Saturday at Haydock, so not sure what to make of that, but we'll see, I'm expecting better at some point.
So a speculative one perhaps, 1pt win @ 14-1

Tricky little race that George, doesn't appear to be any support for Agars Plough which i find really surprising after its last run. Olly Pears does well here and his hose has won over C/D and looks likely to run well, gl George.
I followed Mont Royal over a cliff on one of my previous freds, stewarts, interesting to see the support and the horse's best form has come here.
Brilliant George, great selection, Ashleigh will be wishing he'd stayed on here instead of going racing!

Must say couldn't really see Kylie getting beaten today after last weeks demolition job, not a bad price considering.

back from a good day at beverley, thanks to stewart, had secretinthepark e/w 33/1. and a good bet on kylie rules at 9/4,could not believe the drift on course.

Well done Ashleigh, glad you remembered, think we got most of the winners between us on this thread, also i put up the 2nd in the 1st race at 33/1 and Aghars Plough 2nd, George put up Glazier Fox at 14/1 as well. You put up the 1st and last winner and Kylie, a very good thread today, well done all.
