I think someone on here said he gets a nomination to Frankel every year which he can sell for upwards of 200K (for now). If true, that might take the edge off a chap's motivation.

It's standard practice for the rider of a Group 1 winner to receive an annual nomination as and when the colt goes to stud, although of course, not all of them are so lucrative as Frankel. It was concealing payments like this that first got Lester into trouble with the taxman.

If Queally is getting that much annually, then his incentive to ride is going to be reduced by the knowledge he'll be paying top rate tax on every fee he collects.

When you've ridden a horse like that, nothing more to prove.
Rides as a recreational jockey nowadays.

Maybe he looked at big aitches profile  photos..now that would give him negative feelings
