I like going the Races, but I hate the massive queues for everything ,rip off prices and massive crowds.
Not a massive drinker either.
Has anybody been to Cheltenham and watched the Racing fom Cleeve Hill.
If the weather was decent, half decent Internet connection,a couple of Deckchairs and a couple of Buttys then I would think This could be an option.
I know the View from the link above could be misleading but anybody tried it.
Before anybody slags me off, there are plenty of People who do it at Goodwood on Trundle Hill every year.

Decent view if you go up the path to the north of Prestbury.

Are you allowed to take your own drinks in there?

Don't think so. I've never tried to take my own drinks into any course, but nearly always do to the cinema.

Ripon lets you take your own drink into the middle, no glass bottles but everything else.

Do they search you and have drug dogs there?

Dunno why you want to get drunk at the cinema, mouse muldoon.

Think that might be right dealer. I only had it once there for the gimmick, usually get a bottle of wine sent in.

I've walked up there in the summer and the course is way off in the distance. Don't forget PaddyPower has been known to put massive Hollwood style hording up there for festivals in the past Laugh

You would need 200x magnification to see any horses from up there. If you used a laptop with wifi you might as well be in your own garden. Pay to go to Cheltenham for the April meeting. Usually 2 very good cards and the weather can be great.
