Nicholls horse that STD rides is the interesting one on his French form, 2nd in a grade 1 and had previously finished a mile in front of Fakir Doudaries and Konitho who've both shown decent form for Joseph

It is not a poor triumph hurdle. Just because the IRish juveniles are light year above the uk horses doesnt make it poor.
Personally the uk juveniles are so poor makes the irish form the only thing to read. |
|
By:
the irish dominated last year but didn't make it a good race
|
|
By:
On flat form he's home-and-hosed; 10/11 is very short, will JP indulge?
|
|
By:
Sir erec is home and hosed.

Way to short for the Cheltenham festival can see this being a great result and start for those bookies

Norfolk,
It won’t win by half the track like Scaramanga but it will certainly win. ![]() If anyone doubts it’s ability just watch it’s last race at Leopardstown. Gardens of Babylon & Tiger Tap Tap were 6 lengths adrift and have no chance of reversing those placing’s. When JP bought this out of O’Brien’s stable he knew it was something special. It’s 11/10 at the moment and 10/1 bar on here. I’ve backed it tonight @2.1 because I think it will be odds-on in the morning. |
|
By:
books will certainly want to lay it wiv 6 races to come afterwards if they are wrong so will no doubt hover around evs to 5/4 mark all morning till the carrier bag guys pile on
|
|
By:
There could be some
on here later Cheltenham has bust many a bubble over the years |
|
By:
smirnoff,
I think you are correct with the carrier bags, especially as it's St Patricks Day - the bookies are going to get taken to the cleaners. ![]() |

It's easy to view a Grade One hurdle win and Group Two flat placing in a horse's form and think, in the context of a race like the Triumph, that you're dealing with a different class of animal when compared to the rest of the field. Looking beyond the bare race classifications, though, a different story emerges the form of Sir Erec's group placing on the flat was not especially strong (and the time was slow), and his hurdle win came in a seven-runner race, again run unhurriedly.
A closer look still at his form shows that a rival here Tiger Tap Tap was only a closely fought neck behind on the pair's hurdling debut, so it's hard to understand the odds discrepancy. In what is my biggest bet of the week so far, I'm laying Sir Erec at 2.08, expecting longer-priced horses like Quel Destin and Nelson River to feature more prominently than the market expects. |

Sir eric is carrying extra weight
Hes an ENTIRE Has a Triumph winner ever had this feature? And that's not BULL ![]() |

Who had the 250K @ 1.9?
Not worried about finessing an extra 5% around 2.0. Money to burn or no concern? |
|
By:
Bundles for Destin, now 9/2, backed Erec at 25/1 so laid a bit off
