I had a small ew bet on this earlier. 15 points below last winning mark (admittedly some time ago), bottom weight, coming back from a break maybe with better condition, into a fairly poor race. pure speculation from me. £200 sounds a lot though, but if they are connected maybe they know something. I have suspicions about these sorts of stakes on horses with big prices and no apparent form. I believe a lot of the time these people are attempting to manipulate the market. it doesn't take a lot of money on big price horses in high street bookmakers for the price to be slashed, especially if several runners are placing similar bets around the same time. people see the price tumbling and get on because they think its a good thing, the price tumbles even further then the people placing the initial bets at huge prices then lay the horse on exchanges and make a tidy profit. I am quite a cynical guy though.
