I am sure you are aware that customers can not log into the forum while on the betfair gambling site.customers have to log out of the betting site to bring up the forum page via googlle.but the bad news for betfair is that all gamblers can log into any other gambling site and still bring up the betfair forum.this will cause serious lost of gambling customers (i stress the word gambling)to your intire business within 2 weeks if left unchecked in my opinion."IT NEEDS TO BE FIXED AND FAST".I trust that you understand i mearly inform you of this as one of your valued customers and to give you construtive feed back.i post this thread after two full days of trying to access your forum while keeping the betting pages on line.it is with great difficulty and near an  impossible situation to post a thread at this moment in time.i have accessed the forum through MSN Ireland.but  if you can understand my point everyone will turn to the colour purple and use the betfair forum for updates during racing.
so now you know the situation ,it a sad state of affairs for the once world's greatest betting organisation.Sad
thank you for allowing me post this ,but now you can not say"we did not know".BRASS.

MOUSE,how are you my good man,every punter i know who places a bet likes to read other punters views on a race that has just finished,so common sense will tell you that a guy is not going to log in and out every race,so it simple thing to do is back on purple(or other gambling site) and then click onto the betfair forum,and at the moment that is the only thing a punter  can do.
at the moment all betfair are offering is a"take you pick the gambling page or the forum page but you can not have both at the same time you must lod out and in every time.and thats the problem.and its a big big problem for betfair if they dont fix it.in my opinion.

Is this actually true?

I've just tested and nothing seems to have changed.

Browser (Chrome) > betfair.com > log in
New browser tab > google > betfair forum > already logged in, as expected

clear your browser cache and try again? It is possible you have cached some stale javascript.

i also got a letter today telling me that i will have to get a green card of my insurance company if i wish to drive in Northern ireland .they say in the event of a no deal brexit everyone will need a green card driving in a different country.
the fecking walls are closing in GrinGrinand this card must be applied for four weeks before the brexir date.Shocked

No problem here having the betting site and forum open at the same time. Most probably be a cookie issue.

i think i know what is wrong,this is my opinion,my anti virus,and microsoft  have been notified by google that the forum is an unsecure site,and thats why i am getting blocked when i log in on the gambling page and try to access the forum."not thats all right if i am the only person in the world that google informed,but if they told everyone who logs into betfair ,there is a big boulder in the road for betfair to pass over.and customer numbers will drop fast (this is my guess,it may not happen  but its far too frustrating to carry on on the betfair site for me,and i am forced to go to another gambling site.thanks to all that posted on this thread.

@brassneck

As far as I can tell from this thread, you're the only Forumite experiencing this problem.

Like others above, I log into the gambling site then open another tab and open the Forum (from bookmark, not Google, but same thing) and it works just fine on Chrome on Win 10.

The forum is noted as being 'not secure' in the address box however it opens ok for me.
