I'm not sure this Mullins beast is a good price here at all. The Sir Erec run on debut has seen only that horse prevail from 33 subsequent outings and the 2nd run fro me offered no step forward.

3rd run stats in mdn hurdles nothing to be scared about for this yard.

Just the opposition doesn't fill me with any great excitement either. Nolan likes bringing hdl debutants here in these mdn races but none of them have been from the flat and his over all record of flat horses into these races is nothing to shout about.

Gut feeling is 2.35 this fav is vulnerable but not sure what I have on my side.

Safer to sit out :( laying equally about the opposition than the target horse.

I follow Townend riding for Mullins in non h'cap hurdles, but the system has proved very poor this year, 4 from 29 (strike rate 14% against normally >30%) for a 16pt loss BSP. I haven't been very impressed with Townend, his positioning in the closing stages of races is not very good and he has made a number of last flight blunders. Also, I wonder if the switching of Gigginstown to Elliott and the emergence of O'Brien is having an affect?

Two obvious triers, neither of which are anything special. And a load of horses that might be held back for a mark. Looks a poor betting medium unless you have an inside line.

Jumped like a goat and went out very tamely. Good shout anyway. I rarely lay anything in 2m novices in Ireland, too many unfit horses and non triers.

Poor run, went out like a light, not sure about these Mullins horses at the moment.

I bet the Mullins fav for a place. The perfect start back from no racing - according to the RPost - a triumph hurdle entry - will probably win it knowing Mullins - shafted again

I'd worry for it getting round in a Triumph with it's jumping! Has got worse each run and not settled either.

Nay chance.
