I have always thought that trainer form is an important aspect of racing but it is very hard to keep up with trends from week to week. The following table is winners:runners:beaten favs or Jfavs in the last 14 days.
Nicholls 3 24 4
Henderson 9 29 6
Skelton 7 33 3
Tizzard 4 44 3
Hobbs 2 24 8
Nigel T-D 7 33 1
So although Henderson looks OK for the 14 days, he has had a lot of favourites beaten.
Meanwhile Tizzard would appear to be out of form but has had very few favourites.
The yard that appears to be really out of form after a very good December is Philip Hobbs.

that's we any stats like this are pointless. you need to create actuarial style actual/expected values to be able to draw meaningful conclusions
