Interesting prompt, he's on Glen Heste in the 5.30 according to betfair, I thought a 5lb claimer was riding.

Sageform, would you attach any significance that Probert rides for Appleby in the 6.30 rather than Balding?

BF not up to speed. still Jordan Williams in the place market.

I fancied the 5lb off its back but that draw meant he was never likely to lead which seemed to suit last time. But I didn't expect him to be reined back to the extent he was. Williams' feet were a yard in front of the girth. Worth watching when he's better drawn.

Not only do these threads go around in circles they become pretty laughable tbh.
Jockey wins a race a few come on and praise , jockey gets beat he becomes a villain in 30 mins. My take is that if a punter expects a trainer to always produce a horse to run their best , a jockey to ride their best race every time or a horse to always run to their official rating then a new and less expensive hobby is required , otherwise a gambling life will be full of disappointments. It's not just the horses that aren't machines ![]() |

Ironically compared to the other 2 mentioned a fit and fed and normal race-weight horse would run like a machine.
