dave, trust me, I don't look for sympathy. It was just that my mother passed and three weeks later miss stew phones me from hospital for which it was a basic check up and gave me the bad news. She's OK now but gets checked out annually as opposed to every two tears.

Sometimes in life you have no control over certain matters and my motto now is enjoy every day whether you are sharing it with a partner or single.

I take nothing for granted now. Not even the FAV in the first at Cheltenham tomorrow.

I wish shearer. I've won big on here, (paying off my mortgage) but that said I've had some helluva really bad days. I'll always remember 'Black Saturday'. Miss stew and myself had a table booked for 7pm.


Long story short she comes in all ready to go and I'm sitting there with a face on like a pigs ear. She sensed right away and asked how much I had lost. I stupidly told her and exact words were FFS.

This from a woman who rarely swears. Long story short we went out for the meal and I could hardly get anything down. I ended up drinking large smirnoffs and coke to numb the pain.

Still boozy the next day I made another bank transfer which must of delighted the layers. After that I took 3-4 weeks off..

I've got a good idea, why not pay jockeys like Rab £120 per ride and give him 8.5% of the prize money and then from the 2463 rides x £120 and the 8.5% of £4mill his horses have won these past 5 seasons, he will be able to eat and would actually be trying to win races too.

Not when the useless kernt gets beat on 1/8 shots and regularly fails to ride out for a place. IMVHO the guy isn't doing what his job description states and that means he's bent!!!! If he's following instructions then that means the trainer is bent!!  I believe Johnny g is top of the tree as far as trainers go so that takes us back to the fact rab the spaz is either bent or FERKING useless

John Gosden lets him ride the best of his horses, trusts him with bringing on the yearlings and 2 year olds and uses him through out the year at the races. that would say to me he cant be that bad

top work rider and a decent enough jockey imho

Anyone would think though davethehat that he's never ridden winners for any other trainers.

He has a 29% SR for Gosden despite riding the 2nd strings or alternative meeting runners, 22% for Crisford, 20% for Ed Dunlop, 16% for Amanda Perrett and 14% for Morrison and that fits in quite nicely with the respective quality of the kind of horses they train.

Even rode winners for Linda perrat ,you have to be good to do that.
