Jock gave up very quickly. Given the market support that was pretty dire and perhaps the horse has had problems since he was purchased a year ago?

Had word for this, Hughes looking down at the 3 furlong marker as if something was amiss, mate said it didn't act on the going...
clearly something amiss-i would give it anotehr chance.

Beat a good horse in its point on soft/heavy so ground should not have been any issue.
Looking down was probably just an excuse to give up trying. If there really was a problem wouldn't you just pull up?

Don't buy the not acting on ground as like someone has said its ptp was on soft/heavy, Ellison getting a fecker for talking up his horses often and flattering to deceive did it with Ravenhill Road last year too! lessons learnt.
