Joe Fanning reported that MANSHOOD (IRE), unplaced, was continually denied a clear run from approaching the final ½ furlong and that he was unable to ride out to the line as initially he had looked to
go left but ZIG ZAG ZIGGY (IRE), placed eighth, was blocking his gap and then he became caught on the heels of HAWAAN (IRE), placed fourth, and then again on the heels of RUMSHAK (IRE), placed fifth, on his right and it was only as he approached the line the gap appeared to his left, by which time it was too late.SadSad

Never a clear run seemingly maybe the tipping up and halving (at least) in price was a niggle to the fella who pays the bills.
Has this happened before? Devil

Omg Rico on what grounds u muppet cos I have a negative view on bad rides? The ride was a ferkin disgrace and the excuse posted should double the ban. A jockey knows what he has under him he had all the time in the world to switch u ferkin moron. Are you one of those that defends every bad ride doh

have you seen the hd on?
By:

When: 09 Oct 18 23:30
Yes and that doesn't change the fact he rode the horse to lose. He had half the track all up the straight to switch left but decided to not ride into horses straight ahead of him!!!! The horse had so much to give would have walked it. Ban ban ban all day long

fanning had absolutely no where to go for 2f..there were horses either side to hinder him switching and his route ahead was continually blocked...unfortunate but thats racing.

Lmao u obviously wear blinkers when watching races. How the ferk can you think that wasn't a bent ride it's one of the worst I've seen in 40 years spec savers for you guys me thinks. Btw I'm not the only one who thinks it was a crao ride or do up reckon I'm an easy target but if you do your very mistaken pal Yorkshire loud n proud bring it on all ferkin day long. We need to ban lack of effort and fiddle rides on a huge scale.

Agreed emitdeb 100%. That horse was ridden to find trouble. The trouble is fanning is the wrong jockey to cheat cleverly lol.

I haven't seen the head on but don't really need to, he was steering a horse not a go kart, sometimes the gaps don't come. It happens most days -usually far less obviously- or I wouldn't have a notebook to work from.

Saddo I agree sometimes a jock has no option and things just don't work out. That becomes head in hands time and your look just ain't in. However on this occasion imo fanning just looks bent!!!! He had so much horse and so much time to switch earlier in the race but chose not too. Quite a few races end up getting messy on newcastles' straight mile which I also find hard to swallow especially when you consider the Mile is FERKIN STRAIGHT lmao.

With hindsight he probably could have pulled wide 2f out, lit it up and won. But he would have been critisised for going too early had he done so and got caught. He rode his race and it didn't come off, sometimes we are just unlucky.

* I regard myself as very lucky for drawing place money on the 3rd, luck probably evens itself out over the year.

Liking your first line regarding hindsight mate that's very fair. I think most guys on here are very opinionated one way or the other, nice to see someone down the middle. I will admit to been a jockey basher where it is deserved lol. I agree on your last post mate I had it too in a place bet and thought Ben Robinson rode a good race to get up for third as it looked very unlikely furlong out. We just need all the top ranking jocks to ride with such vigor for a place lol. Only problem with that comment is we all know they won't !!!!!!!!

Cheers dave. Mind The Crack (3.00) is my only 'unlucky' one today. Torrid time on debut, green as grass and took at least three bumps. I'm not often put off by an unraced shorty like Tempus.

the hd on clearly showed he was blocked of a run from 2f out..the horse was heavily backed,it was trying alright.
