It really Did. Void race and refunds on the way surely?

It looks like stall 1 flung over stall 2 on the replay, they was rejoicing in the fact they got one right on their tips, that they neglected to take notice and just said Mount kiara blew the start. When in fact it didn't, it was hampered by the gate and lost between 5 and 10 lengths

Betfair has settled the markets, think they will be forced to refund stakes on Mount kiara IMO

Any possibility of a void race? 

Wouldn't be the first time, there was a clear fault with the starting gates

I've watched it back a few times...looks like the horses nose somehow got trapped in the stall...bizarre!

Terrible for ruk to miss that I was clicking to lay it but backers never had a chance

Can't be a void race now as they've been allowed to weigh-in without a stewards enquiry.

I backed Top Boy but as the race started stall 2 didn't seem to open properly. Was expecting a stewards at least. There would have been if Harry Bentley protested. So why didn't he?

There could be an appel from the owners/trainer and the race would be made void in a few days time.

Furious with those stewards, last race they all just want to get home, to hell with the punters, horse had no chance after that.

You could argue all cases on this, would top boy had won if mount Kiara gate opened at the same time, would the complexion of the race had changed.


If Harry Bentley hasn't said anything, then he has done the punting public a total misjustice!! Then again in todays society, why would there need to be a appeal, it can clearly been seen from the reply

You can't blame the stewards if Harry Bentley kept his mouth shut. If he contested it they would have had to take a look.

As stated they all want to get home, the whole lot of them.

There would have to be an appeal now because they were allowed to weigh-in without a stewards enquiry. So for betting purposes the race has been settled.

In that case. Harry Bentley should have shouted NO to the starter. Unless the horse put his nose in there right before the gate opened. I'll have to take a look at the reply. Either jokey error or real bad luck.

So that's that for punters, if you backed it you lost, if you laid it, you owe the horse a carrot.

The fact they say "had appeared" make it sounds like the jockey and the starters are guessing

KurtCobain...it happened a split second after the gate opened...as stated in my previous post.

It was real bad luck...jock had nothing to do with it.
