The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the straight involving Morpho Blue, ridden by C. O'Donoghue, placed sixth, Sandstorm Annie, ridden by R.C. Colgan, unseated and Stella D'italia (GB), ridden by N.G. McCullagh, slipped up, where it appeared Stella D'italia fell and Sandstorm Annie was unseated. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings. The Stewards did however find C. O'Donoghue in breach of Rule 214 by riding carelessly and having taken his previous record into acccount suspended him for seven race days. |
