My word isn't laying torture. Easily the best horse second and yet you still pay out. UL.

I backed the winner and laid the favourite but that was not a great ride from Gordon

Slow start and early rush to the front did for the winner.

Easily the best horse.

That girl Hollie Doyle is miles better than these two. Like watching 2 bad apprentices slug it out.

Look at all the jockeys who have failed on the winner and you must give some credit to the winning jockey.

sparrow in this case its not about the winner, as if the 2nd was ridden even adequately it would have won

Yes mjk a shocking ride on the winner who no other jockey has managed to win on . Even Doyle got beat on it at 4/11 last time out.

who said "a shocking ride" on the winner?

Perhaps the one that beat it last time was better and had a better jockey on than the second did today. Gordon's ride in the first was diabolical as well, like a jockey having her first ride with no strength.

yes indeed...so nobody said a shocking ride on the winner

she has had a poor year sparrow & is looking "wrong" at the weights v other more experienced riders and against the better apprentices

You have to laugh on this forum as it's just a few weeks ago that domino the so called ex jockey insisted that Hollie Doyle was rubbish.

pick & choose who, if anybody, you listen to on here but hollie doyle +12 from 1000+ rides in her career she is doing ok

I didn't like the horse myself but if I was questioning a ride in that race it would be Callum Shephered. A very unusual effort.

I listen to many on here but take notice of very few as I have my own opinions. One thing is for sure that female jockeys are far more heavily criticised than their male counterparts.
By:

When: 29 Sep 18 16:54
well not by me sparrow, I will slag off anybody I want to regardless of whether they are male or female

same goes for praise
By:
wondersobright
When: 29 Sep 18 16:57
I think what you mean is they are disproportionately criticised

as female jockeys are a small subset of jockeys and there are far more male jockeys, male jockeys are far more likely to criticised
By:
sparrow
When: 29 Sep 18 17:04
If people think female jockeys are so inferior to the vast majority of male jockeys then that will put an extra point or two on anything they ride. Long may that be the case.

agree, betting markets do imply quite a bit of discrimination, and not just with gender
