i had to go out, so placed a bet in 230 at sp 100 liability - i thought that this would be matched at start of race - just got back in and bet was not placed?

Take it up with BF - if you placed the bet at BSP it absolutely should have been matched at the point the race turns in play - I've been placing Win and Place bets at SP every day for 7 years.

What was the BSP of the horse? I seem to recall having an issue years ago when experimenting (another idea that didn't work!) some lay bets were no taken because they would have failed to attract a back bet of minimum £2.

Why was "liability" selected - More details of the bet needed - Back, or Lay?
If you had NOT selected ANY, "liability," the the bet would have definitely been Matched/RECONCILED AT THE OFF - as Betfair use UNmatched bets from the Pre-Race Market to top up any shortfall in the SP market. Only other two scenarios that I can think of - although UNlikely from what you post ... 1. You placed a BACK bet - requesting odds of 100.0 - when the horse was, say 50.0 - It never went out to 100.0 - so you were NOT matched PRE-Race - BUT - when placing your Back bet you did not THEN ALSO Select the (At In-Play) 'TAKE SP' option... and, crucially then RE-Submit the bet.. 2. It was a Lay bet - UNLikely I think - BUT - Your quote, "LIABILITY," refers to LAY - NOT BACK ... You Selected a , "liability, of 100.0 - The horse was returned Greater than 100.0 - so the Lay became Unmatched, as you have automatically Voided it. |
