Classical example of how to get a non trier beat without looking suspicious.

mac- Definitely the jockey was very poor on it. As u say for whatever reason was kept far too back.  Very strange ride

I think the race position indicated what the plan was.

always too far off the pace for an animal that has not shown to be particularly quick/fluid
Can Patrick retire soon please
Report themightymac • September 23, 2018 5:28 PM BST
Exactly, I knew after a furlong it had no chance.

Very UnPatrick like ride,at no stage was the kitchen sink thrown, don't think the horse is very good but wasn't given much chance.

Don't think it was a non trier, just over confidence on behalf of the rider and over estimation of what was underneath him.No bet in it but I'd be gutted if I backed it as it still had running left in it.

Very poor miscalculation. Appeared to ride a slow stayer for a change of pace. Bar the winner it looked a very poor race.
