have a look at the books computer if there is any prices flashing red that is bigger than the exchange
you will not believe this but a few  books always have plenty of red flashing.

Ronnie.

gone are the days when the track books are taking a view - been punting at the tracks for 30+ years and its a totally different beast these days - done Kelso Newcastle Carlisle Hexham York Donny Musselburgh Southwell Market Rasen past few mths and without exception on days i attended it was just everyone following the machine - you might be lucky and see 7/2 about a horse that was 10/3 or carpet on a horse on 9-10 other boards and by time you reached that book and placed a bet price had gone - seen it twice back in Oct 17 at Carlisle races and then latterly at Brough Park dogs on same evening when books were just shortening prices subject to what was happening on the machine not having taken a bet

Like yourself I have been a punter in the north for over 30 years, the leading books you will remember Joyce,Ridley,Steel,James,Whelan,Webster and Gerraghty. They all took a good bet but they were betting to a book of 130 percent, anyone could have won at those percentages. now they are betting to the bone the word overbroke is often used, the prices might not change very much but take it from me the punter has never had it so good.

just shortening prices subject to what was happening on the machine not having taken a bet

quite alarming given how easy it is to make things happen here, esp when backs and lays are monitored by the host (afternoon chaps Laugh) ...
