He gave up inside the final furlong then started to ride again. These flat jockeys really are getting worse.

I took it on but was ridden with kid gloves and would not have been happy had I backed it.

Proven stayer who has beat them all before, so lets hold her up way off a slow pace and let them turn the race into a sprint. Absolutely dreadful performance. Best horse in the race and it gets beat due to dumb tactics.

I was surprised he was riding it - not sure if it was a weight issue at Goodwood, but the younger Egan gave it a lovely ride there.
At least Maid Up's price wont contract come Saturday based on this, but I might have to check into an AA session now because of AA |

Hard to believe there will be a more inept riding performance all season - the bitter truth though is that smug Atzeni will suffer no comeback and tomorrow that appalling misjudgement will be forgotten!

I think his popularity is waning ihal - he doesn't seem to get first dibs on Varian's these days, and its only the Obaid retainer keeping him on decent horses
